The moon that brightened a cloudless sky Tuesday night had to fight clouds for attention Wednesday evening but the orb that played peek-a-boo with the cloud cover gave me a chance to try out the new Canon EOS-1D Mark III and shoot the moon as it appeared along Virginia Rte. 8 near the Montgomery County line.
Shot hand-held at three-tenths of a second at F:2.8 with a Canon 24-70 zoom set at 70mm and shot at 1600 ISO with some dodging and burning in Photoshop.
Whenever I see a beautiful moon in the sky I know I can come here the next morning to see a beautiful photograph of it.
Another great capture. Thanks so much for sharing the metadata. I don’t have a camera with quite the capabilities, but it’s helpful to know the info for learning purposes.
