050713rainApril lives up to its soggy traditions today with a day-long glut of sometimes heavy, sogging rain throughout Monday.

With a 10 percent chance of showers on Tuesday and 30 percent Wednesday, outlook for the week is wet but the temperatures will remain Spring-like with highs in the 50s and 60s throughout the week before climbing to 70 with only a slight chance of the wet stuff by Friday.

The warm temperatures the following week, the outlook for the first half of April is Spring without any talk or threats of winter — yet.

In the deep south, forecasts call for more active weather with a chance of heavy thunderstorms and tornadoes.

Time to sharpen the blades on your mower and prepare for Spring yard work.
