After a brief, late afternoon shower Friday, the Floyd Auto Far at Chantilly Farms welcomed bright blue skies and sunshine Saturday as cars & motorcycles — new, antique, classic and specialty — filled the fields along with swap meets.
You could find an American-flag adorned VW bus, more than one antique Post Office vehicle, speciality fire trucks, dragsters, hot rods, vintage cars and even a Camaro with doors that slid open like a Lamborghini Countach.
One shopper at the swap meet called it the “swap meet from hell.” A table of carburetors started at $160 and went up. A NASCAR simulator race car attracted would-be racers. An old sewing machine sat on top of a large auto part.
The meet continues on Sunday and predicted weather is not expected until mid-or-late afternoon.
