Very wet for the football teams, the homecoming participants and the fans for Friday night’s 44-0 thumping of Patrick County by the Floyd County High School Buffaloes.

The rain often came down in sheets, soaking people, instruments, photography equipment and everything else.  And it kept getting cooler through the night.

The Buffaloes persevered.  So did the fans.  And they crowned a homecoming king and queen. More photos and Roger Mannon’s story in Thursday’s Floyd Press.
