A week after posting a 44-0 win over Patrick County, Floyd County High School’s Buffaloes ran into a 52-26 pasting from George Wythe on the road Friday night.
The win completed a GW sweep of the Buffaloes, with the JV and 8th grade teams falling to the Wytheville teams Thursday night,
The loss brings the Buffs record to 1-3 in the young season and facing Blacksburg at an away game next week while getting a rest in a bye week for the first Friday in October.
An injury while covering the Thursday night games left me with a wrapped leg and the couch Friday night. Hopefully, I will be ready for games next week.
