Battling cancer kept popular fiddler and Bluegrass group leader Clyde Williams offstage for a year but he returned to the Friday Night Jamboree this weekend to an overflow and enthusiastic crowd.
It was a long-sought, long-overdue and long-anticipated homecoming for the popular entertainer who has graced the stage of the Jamboree for a long time.
As the dancers filled the floor amid shouts of “Go Clyde, go,” the Jamboree recaptured the glory missing during Williams absence.
He’s back on stage — and all is right in the Jamboree world.
It was a great night at the Floyd Country Store. A travel club friend from Sweden (now living in San Francisco) went along with us, and I think she really enjoyed it. Thanks for making this video, Doug … I’ll share it, o.k.?
