Gate City waited a year for revenge on a loss to Floyd County at last year’s Chance Harman Classic and downed the Buffaloes 72-64 before a large crowd Saturday.

Will Cook led FCHS scoring with 21 points, followed byk Justin Conduff with 18 and Cole Harris at 16.

Gate City aided their cause with four three-pointers to Floyd’s two.

The tourney also pare Radford against Blacksburg and the reigning Group 2A state champions from last year continued their undefeated streak with the Bobcats downing the Bruins 60-51 after beating Dan River the night before.

The two-day tournament in Floyd featured 14 games and wrapped up Saturday night.
