Floyd County High School’s varsity Buffaloes basketball team took its unbeaten Three Rivers District record up against the equally-unbeaten Radford Bobcats on the road Thursday night and came away with a 74-58 loss.
Radford is also now 12-0 in its overall season play.
The Buffaloes lost after a three-game winning streak and now is 6-11 overall and 4-1 in district play.
Cole Harris led Floyd led Floyd scoring with 21 points, with Will Cook close by with 18 and Justin Conduff at 15.
Radford led from the start but closed to within three at one point. With four players in double points and 10 three-point plays, Radford had the edge, even though the Buffaloes scored nine three=points — five by Harris.
The Floyd JV boys also fell to Radford 49-29.
The Lady Buffs are scheduled to face Radford in a home game in Floyd Friday night but a winter mix forecast could bring a rescheduling.
Radford continues to baffle us…thanks for the shot of Cooper, Doug.
