Saturday started with snow, sometimes heavy, then some sleet, but then rain into the night as the thermometer, for the first time in days, rose above freezing.

What does this mean for Sunday?  Probably some ice but also some reduction of some of the snow that has been with us for at least a week.

The thermometer is at 34 degrees at 11:40 p.m. Saturday with a light rain falling.  The rain is expected to start tapering off about 4 a.m. Sunday with temperatures remaining above freezing and rising up to the mid 40s during the day.

But freezing temps return on Monday with the thermometer falling below 32 between 10 and 11 p.m. Sunday and then hovering around the low 20s in the daytime and in the teens Monday night.  Then some warming through Wednesday before heading down  for the last three days of February.

A little snow and ice might get mixed into that towards the end of the week on February 28 and March 1.
