For the ninth day out of the past 10, Floyd County Schools are closed Friday.
However, the Conference 38 2A girls basketball final is scheduled for play Friday night at James River High School with the FCHS Lady Buffaloes facing the Martinsville Lady Bulldogs.
For Martinsville, the game is a double header with the boys varsity also playing for the final after beating Floyd County in the semi-final match on Tuesday.
Win or lose tonight, the Lady Buffaloes go on to the Regional playoffs scheduled now to start on Monday night. A win by Floyd brings the home opener to the FCHS gym.
