Floyd County High School appeared headed for a halftime lead of 14-13 Friday night in the varsity football home opener against Carroll County but a fumble set up a field goal by the Cavaliers to give them a two-point lead of 16-14 over the Buffaloes.
The game could have gone the other way in the second half but the end result was two points, 30-28, with the edge to Carroll County.
