A packed dance floor of The Friday Night Jamboree.
Spring is upon us, the weather is warming up, even more so after a warmer than normal winter, and weekends around our little part of the Blue Ridge Mountains are full of events, music, arts and more.
The Floyd Radio Show kicks off April Saturday night at The Floyd Country Store, hosted by Paul Brown and Terry McMurray with special guests His Piedmont Pals along with Adam McPeak and Mountain Thunder. The Internet-based show begins at 7:30 p.m. at the store at 206 S. Locust Street.
A music benefit to aid Amy Adams, who lost her home in a fire, runs from 7 to 11 p.m. at Dogtown Roadhouse at 302 S. Locust Thursday.
American songster Dom Fleming appears at the Country Store Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Old Time music is featured at the Friday Night Jamboree Friday evening at the Country Store and bluegrass lights up the stage Saturday night at Wildwood Farms Country Store Saturday at 2380 Floyd Hwy S.
