Mid-July slogs through Floyd County and the region this weekend with hot temperatures, thunderstorms and lots of entertainment options for those seeking fun.
The National Weather Service office in Blacksburg predicts temperatures in the high 80s for Thursday and just a little cooler in the midrange of the 80s Friday with afternoon and evening thunderstorms in the forecast for Friday and Saturday.
Saturday’s forecast calls for scattered thunderstorms with the high in the low 80s before Sunday offers a break from the rain but little relief from the hot, muggy temperatures.
Our advice: Stay cool but have a hot time this weekend.
