NBC pulled the plug on “The Book of Daniel” and the holier-than-thou bunch at the American Family Association is taking credit.
The tight-assed hypocrites at the AFA started a campaign against the show before it aired or before anyone had seen it because in their limited view of the world any show that suggests God might possibly have a sense of humor is sin beyond belief.
Had the network not canceled The Book of Daniel I suspect the holy rollers who run Channel 10 in Roanoke would have found a way to yank the show. After all, this is the same station that gives a madman like Pat Robertson a full hour to spread his blasphemy every weekday morning.
I have to keep remembering that this is the Bible Belt and those who control that belt like to keep it cinched tight enough to cut off circulation of any freedom of expression.
AMEN!
Yeah, the good christians within the bible belt are pretty insecure!
Oh well, I don’t watch TV anyway.

The AFA is run by a religious zealot who hates the entertainment industry. That zealot also hates Jews, gays, lesbians and foreigners.
The TV networks could have neutralized the AFA 10-15 years ago by exposing its leadership as Jew-bashers. Instead the networks play footsie with the AFA. After all, fundamentalists are among the biggest supporters of Bush. So are the networks and their corporate owners.
It wasn’t a bad show either. Heck, no one, including pastors or families of pastors, is perfect.
