After nearly 10 years of creating, designing, managing and hosting web sites, I’m working to consolidate everything into something that is manageable.

I realized the other day that I have more than a dozen web sites, 17 email addresses and six cellphones. Since opening the studio in Floyd, I’m working seven days a week, 12 hours a day.

So much for quality of life.

So I started trimming on Monday, eliminating four of six cell phones (leaving one each for Floyd County and Arlington), consolidating 17 email accounts into two (one work, one personal) and either consolidating or eliminating web sites.

Dealing with the web sites is the most difficult. They range from Capitol Hill Blue, a political news site started in 1994 (making it the oldest news site on the ‘Net) to this site, my newest.

Not sure yet what stays and what goes but the decisions will be made this week. Time to get things back under control.
